1. Event Photography Notice

Cruisin' Into Christmas and all events produced by Christmas on Main of Lamar are community celebrations photographed and recorded for promotional and archival purposes. By attending any Christmas on Main event, you acknowledge that photographs, video, and audio recordings may be made in public areas and may be used on our website, social media channels, print materials, and in local media coverage.

2. How We Use Photos

Photographs and recordings from our events may be used to promote future events, share community memories, support grant applications, and fulfill the mission of Christmas on Main. We do not sell photographs to third parties or use them for commercial advertising purposes unrelated to our mission.

3. Minor Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Christmas on Main welcomes children and families at our events. We take the privacy of minors seriously. Photographs or videos appearing on our website, social media, and promotional materials that include individuals who appear to be under the age of 13 may have been digitally altered using AI technology to protect the identity of minors. Original unaltered photographs of identifiable children are never published online without written parental consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent, and we voluntarily uphold the principles of COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and respect all removal requests involving minors.

4. AI Photo Alteration Policy

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501–6506, is a federal law that protects the privacy of children under 13. In compliance with COPPA and out of respect for the families in our community, Christmas on Main of Lamar may use AI technology to digitally alter photographs before publishing them online. This means that if a child under 13 appears in an event photo, their face or identifying features may be digitally modified before the image is posted to our website or social media channels. The original unaltered photograph is never published online without written parental consent.

A short notice appears near photo galleries on this site linking to this policy. We maintain a record of AI-altered photos for documentation and accountability purposes. If you believe a photograph of your child has been published without your consent, please submit a request through our Privacy, Photo & Content Requests form and we will remove it promptly.

5. Photo Removal Requests

If you or your child appears in a photograph published on our website or social media and you would like it removed, please submit a request through our Privacy, Photo & Content Requests form. We will respond within 48 hours. Requests involving minors are treated as urgent and handled with priority.
